Better known for its mobile phone network, O2 branched into fixed-line ADSL broadband in 2007. While late to the party, it has built a solid user base and continues to see slow but steady progress. O2 is building on its strong reputation for good customer service and technical support. Pricing is competitive, while it has free 24/7 support, web texts, wireless router and McAfee Security software as standard on all packages.
O2 won nine of the 11 categories in the 2009 uSwitch Awards, 10 in 2010 and seven in 2011. In 2011 O2 Home Broadband has won the Broadband Genie Best Broadband Provider Award as well as the Best Support award.
